SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis Revealed United States Logan Paul as Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes' Next ChallengerFor a split second, when Aldis said he was about to introduce Rhodes' next opponent, I thought he might attack him from behind and reveal himself as the new number one contender. Unfortunately, that didn't happen (real ones remember their NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship clash from the first-ever All In event six years ago), but Paul certainly isn't a bad choice. Rhodes vs. Paul is a match I've wanted to see for a while now and Paul obviously has heat, but this feels abrupt, especially with Paul still being the United States champ. I don't like both belts on the line (assuming that's actually the case) because Rhodes doesn't need two titles and LA Knight really should be the one to dethrone Paul.

"Broken" Matt Hardy and Ryan Nemeth Crashed The System's Championship CelebrationComing out of Under Siege, every member of The System is now a champion, so it made sense for them to hold their own championship celebration to start this show. Hardy interrupting was predictable, but Nemeth helping him out was an interesting twist. The guy never won a match that mattered in AEW, so I truly don't care about him being in TNA and can't possibly see him as a threat, but this was designed to set up next week's huge tag team match involving them.
Diamante, Mercedes Martinez and Taya Valkyrie def. Lady Frost, Abadon and "Legit" Leyla HirschThis was the standard six-woman tag team match that we get quite a bit on ROH TV in that it didn't really accomplish anything other than to serve as a showcase for the women's division. It was well worked, but it's a shame the crowd was quiet for a majority of it. I appreciated that it was acknowledged that Martinez and Diamante cost Abadon the chance to advance in the ROH Women's World Championship Tournament because there's been no follow-up on that since.
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn def. Katana Chance and Kayden CarterAlthough I was in attendance for this taping, I actually used this as an opportunity (once the entrances were over) to go grab a cookie, and it was over before I got back to my seat. Oops. Watching it back on Hulu, this was a nice match. That shouldn't come as much of a surprise given the history they have from NXT and even on the main roster from earlier this year. I'd like to see Fyre get a chance as a singles star on Raw after Becky Lynch mentioned on Raw that she's the longest-reigning women's champion in WWE's modern era (referring to her NXT UK Women's Championship reign). The stuff with Dawn feels like a dead end.
